The word “cookie” originates from the Dutch word Koekje / Koekie. In the cafes of Amsterdam, koekies are offered as a little gift with a cup of solace (coffee).  Cafe Amsterdam’s family of Dutch treats are baked by Aviateurs (“Master Bakers”) using authentic Dutch recipes, and traditional baking methods, and are as enjoyed in the cafes of Amsterdam…oh, zo goed!
